This Alanic silk kaftan is a precise reenactment based on the famous kaftan with senmurvs discovered in Moshchevaya Balka, North Caucasus. It dates to the 8th-10th century, the period of the Khazar Khaganate.

Materials and Craftsmanship

The kaftan is sewn from 100% patterned silk with a linen lining. Internal seams are machine-sewn, while all visible and external seams are hand-finished with linen and silk thread, ensuring an authentic look and durability.

You have a choice of fastening: textile buttons or cast bronze/brass buttons. There are also several silk pattern options available (you'll find a preview in the last picture).

(For the "cloth length" option, please provide the desired length of the finished kaftan in centimeters or inches, e.g., 120 cm/47 inches. Please note that Alanic kaftans should reach at least below the knee.)

The kaftan is personally sewn by us to order, allowing for a perfect fit to your preferences and size. The lead time is up to 4 months.
