This Alanic silk hat, also known as a "helmet-hat," is a faithful reconstruction based on a find from Moshchevaya Balka in the North Caucasus. It dates to the 8th-10th century.

The hat is made from soft, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather. Its outer layer is covered with 100% silk, and the interior is lined with natural linen. A distinctive feature is the stick placed at the top, with its base decorated with gilded leather (gold imitation), adding an authentic look.
