The belt consists of 52 fittings of two different types, 1 buckle, and 1 belt end. The reconstruction is based on the original number of fittings. The fittings are cast from brass.

Belt from Davidkovo – Kievan Rus' (10th Century)

This complete belt is a reconstruction based on a find from Davidkovo, Vladimir kurgans, Kievan Rus', dated to the 10th century. It's suitable for reenactments of Varangians from Kievan Rus' and the Volga region from the 10th century. It has many analogies in the Volga region (e.g., Krasnogorskoye, Dubovskoye, Yumskoye burial grounds).

Materials and Components

The belt consists of 52 fittings of two different types, 1 buckle, and 1 belt end. The reconstruction is based on the original number of fittings. The fittings are cast from brass.

It is made from impregnated, vegetable-tanned bovine leather, and for the stitched belt option, from calf or goat leather (depending on the batch).

It is available in two variants:
