Saber Hanger Belt

This belt with brass elements, modeled on historical finds and paintings from the 16th–18th centuries, was used for suspending a sabre. It was widely used throughout Central Europe, including in Hungary and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The sabre was attached to it using hanging and adjustable straps—known as rapcie—the length of which could be freely adjusted.

The belt is made of waxed, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather.

This belt with brass elements, modeled on historical finds and paintings from the 16th–18th centuries, was used for suspending a sabre. It was widely used throughout Central Europe, including in Hungary and the Polish-Lithuanian Commonwealth. The sabre was attached to it using hanging and adjustable straps—known as rapcie—the length of which could be freely adjusted.

Materials and Measurements

Material: The belt is made of waxed, vegetable-tanned cowhide leather.
Width: 2 cm.

We also offer the belt in a left-handed version—in this case, the fittings are adapted for wearing the saber on the right side.
